Shipping Instructions

 

To Ship Meters to ZLS From Outside the Continental U.S.,  use the Following Instructions.

Commercial Invoice

  1. Include 2 copies of the commercial invoice in an envelope, taped to the outside of the shipping container.
  2. On the commercial invoice include the following:
    1. Purchase order number.
    2. A detail description of the meter with its serial number.
    3. List the reason why the meter is being sent to ZLS.
    4. List the value of the meter as "Value for customs purposes only."

Airway Bill

  1. List the airport of destination as: AUSTIN, TEXAS.
  2. Please report to ZLS when the meter has been shipped and provide the airway bill number.  This will help us to track the meter during shipment and customs if there are any problems.

Packing Ship

  1. List the total contents of the shipment.
  2. Place the packing ship inside the package.

Return Shipping Instructions

  1. Include return shipping instructions inside the package.
  2. The instructions should include the following:
    1. Return address.
    2. Telephone and fax number.
    3. Person to notify in case of a problem.
    4. Broker's address, telephone, and fax number.
    5. Method of shipment (Fed-X, UPS, air carrier).
    6. Indicate if the package is to be returned insured.  If so, please list the insured value.

Transmittal

  1. Include a transmittal of the shipment inside the package.
  2. On the transmittal include the following:
    1. Purchase order number.
    2. A detail description of the meter with its serial number.
    3. List the reason why the meter is being sent to ZLS.
    4. List the total contents of the shipment.
    5. List the value of the shipment.
